It has been the first time for me to work with bone china. Thinking on the topic “Porcelain city” I wanted to underline that Kaunas is one of a few European cities which maintains its tradition of Bone China. When I arrived at the International Bone China Symposium in Kaunas, I realized how big a percentage of bone ash is in the Bone China porcelain. It makes this porcelain extremely strong, translucent. I decided I would like to create works dedicated to cows and bulls. I wanted to bring them back alive.
